Who are the Te Puna Quarry Summer Trustees?
It's a great job... five of us get together every month to plan for every upcoming summer.
We are:
Beth Bowden
Beth has a long experience in theatre and performance, and is also good at strategy and organising. She's lived near the Quarry for a lot of her life (the bit that wasn't spent in Wellington) and knows what it takes to create an idea and make it happen there - in the open air, from the ground up.
Evan Turbott
Evan is a lawyer and a lover of the arts. He does a lot of volunteer work in the community, including a recent stint as Chair of the Bay of Plenty Symphonia. He keeps the Summer Trust close to its prime function as a facilitator of great events in the Quarry Park.
Daryl Bonney
Daryl is an accountant with an invisible office (really). He makes sure that people know what they're committing to and then does his best to make sure it happens. He's very clear about the community benefits that come from building on creative talent and effort, especially among young people.
Bronwyn Anne Lightbody
Bronwyn Anne is a very experienced stage manager and terrifically nice person. She does what she says she will do, and asks the really practical questions that keep an event on the rails. She is the newest Summer Trustee, but she was involved as a volunteer in the TheatreSports Festival last January, so she knows what it's all about.
Dulcie Artus
Dulcie is the liaison between the Te Puna Quarry Park Society Inc, and the Summer Trust. She is the absolutely invaluable link that ties the Summer Trust's activities to the aims and aspirations of the Quarry Park. Dulcie is a talented artist and photographer, as well as having the business and strategic skills that ensure respect for the community's long-term vision for the Quarry Park.
